One system.
Different ways of living.
I started with a placement and preparation work in the factory. Later, I mainly worked on site, assembling and sealing modules, installing cladding and finishing buildings. Working with the individual elements first helped me understand how the whole building fits together.
I took part in projects near Bordeaux, in Belgium and in the Netherlands. They included a shop for an organic farm, tourist accommodation and a family holiday home. The structural system stayed similar; the surroundings and the people using it changed.
Wikkelhouse is made from connected segments prepared in an Amsterdam workshop and assembled on site. I’m interested in the moment when this repeatable system meets a specific location. A similar structure can serve work, holidays or family life. During assembly, that flexibility becomes tangible.
